Above & Beyond

Never forgetting the natural beauty of the Western North Carolina mountains, spectacular views and the warm friendly people of childhood vacations. I would dream of living in the mountains and thought it would be a great place for my sons to grow up.  The small towns of the mountains have a great sense of community, diversity of culture and music. Our mountain communities believe in helping one another as we all do at Beverly-Hanks. I have been involved in multiple community outreach programs as a member of Rotary International, involved in the Day of Caring, St. Gerard House and Beverly-Hanks Annual Charity Auction.  She still enjoys creating art, gardening, maintaining a strict fitness routine, enjoying the outdoors, and meeting new people.

I received a BFA degree from Maryland Institute College of Art in painting. Lived in Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Austin and Florida before coming to the mountains in 1991. After a 20 year successful career in wine sales, in which I earned numerous accolades, I felt that my true calling was in real estate. My attention to detail, ability to listen, determination and honest approach made me a successful realtor. In the first year I earned Rookie of the Year. 16 years later clients are still saying, "she went over and beyond her duties," and "Nola was lovely to work with, very patient, with excellent negotiation and follow-up skills." Vast knowledge of the area has helped me with a wide range of listings and sales in Henderson, Buncombe, Transylvania, Polk, and Rutherford Counties. There is no greater satisfaction than helping people to achieve their goal and dream of owning their own home.

I am a proud mother of two sons who were raised in Western North Carolina. The oldest, Jarrett attended Western Carolina University and received his masters in music composition and orchestra conduction at Central Michigan University. While the youngest, Jake, attended Appalachian State University where he got his degree in business and took first place in the 2012 Southern Conference Track & Field for decathlon. Jarrett is a music teacher at a private school in Ft. Worth, TX. He also composes music and plays many instruments. Jake is a senior buyer for General Motors in the Detroit area.

This is what one of my clients had to say about their experience working with me:

"Nola has been our realtor twice now, and from the first phone conversation I knew we were in good hands! She is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for her clients. I always knew she had our best interest in mind- and even after the sales were completed she continues to be a great resource! Nola made our sale totally possible! Without her we would never have gotten our land. Nola has been an excellent resource and agent. As out of state buyers we needed to feel confident that we were being represented well, and Nola does that! Even after the close she provides excellent service. She is knowledgeable and has all the connections to make things happen as swiftly as possible. Her customer service goes above and beyond well after the close. She’s a realtor for all your needs!"
